Camping Birthday Card

Camping Birthday Card for a 12 Year Old Friend

Camping Birthday Card

Camping Birthday Card

I’m taking a short break from the Princess Party stuff to show you a card that my husband and I actually came up with together! I do believe this is our first collaberative card. My husband requested that the card have movement…that it be an interactive card. Hmmmm….I was a bit stumped because we were creating a card for a friend who turned 12 who loves skateboarding and ninja stuff….of which I have no stamps. Fortunately, when I was at Archivers a few months ago I felt compelled to use their die cutting system to cut out some mountains, grass and a tent. Hmm…..divine leading? Anyway, I pulled them out and my husband and I proceeded to create this card. Which we felt would be appropriate for our friend since we had been camping with him and his family several times.

The boy on the card is not attached to the card. The tent is 3D’d using puffy tape which creates a pocket for the boy to stand behind the tent. Then when you pull the boy out from behind the tent he holding a sign that says happy birthday. Voila, our interactive card!
